Xrizanthema

Ezt a fajtát oroszországból kaptam „Хризантема” néven, de a papír hátoldalán a ’Xrizanthema’ név szerepelt és ezen néven is könyveltem el. Ez viszont a ciril-latin hibás átirata, az ’X’ betű ugyanis ’Kh’.(Állítólag bolgár fajta, de erre sem a neve, sem más forrás nem utal, az átirat inkább orosz) A csavar viszont itt jön, én rengeteg helyen kerestem képet, adadtot erről a fajtáról, de semmi, hasonlóan gerezdesek ugyan voltak, di mind lapított termésű volt! Emiatt én meghagytam a ’Xrizanthema’ nevet, hogy megkülönböztessem.

A fajta indeterminált, 150 cm magas, gyenge növekedésű.

Ami érdekes benne, azok a termései, amik nagyon amorf ökörszív alakúak, extrém gerezdesek és gyűröttek, emellett még üregesek is a termések.

Az íze egyszerű régies paradicsíz.

I received this variety from Russia under the name “Хризантема,” but on the back of the paper it was listed as “Xrizanthema,” and I recorded it under that name. This, however, is a mistaken Cyrillic-to-Latin transcription, as the letter ‘X’ should actually be ‘Kh’. (It is supposedly a Bulgarian variety, but neither the name nor other sources support this; the transcription is more likely Russian.)

Here’s the twist: I searched extensively for images and data about this variety, but found nothing—other tomatoes were similarly lobed, yet all had flattened fruits! For this reason, I kept the name “Xrizanthema” to distinguish it.

The variety is indeterminate, growing to about 150 cm, with weak vigor.

What is unusual are the fruits: very amorphous oxheart-shaped, extremely lobed and wrinkled, and even hollow inside.
The flavor is simple, classic old-fashioned tomato.
