A Gigante Farina számomra egy nagyon megosztó fajta, már 3 évben is termesztettem, de eddig nem sikerült fele elérnem azt az álomhatárt, amit a fajta ígér. ez a paradicsom ugyanis az olasz Remo Farinától származik Bleggioból, aki egyébként sokáig az olasz paradicsomrekordot is tartotta.
Burgonyalevelű, indeterminált fajta, magassága 2 méter.
A termései mérete 200-400 gramm kört vannak, de előfordul 1-1 nagyobb 700-800 grammos termés is, de ehhez nagyon jó körülmények kellenek neki. A termések íze igazi régi paradicsomízű.
Gigante Farina is, for me, a very divisive variety. I have grown it for three years, but so far I haven’t quite reached the dream potential the variety promises. This tomato originates from Remo Farina in Bleggio, Italy, who for a long time held the Italian tomato size record.
It is a potato-leaf, indeterminate plant, growing about 2 meters tall.
The fruits typically weigh 200–400 grams, but occasionally one or two can reach 700–800 grams under optimal conditions. The flavor is classic, old-fashioned tomato taste.
