Egy régi fajta, amely a Brazatortas régióból származik, Ciudad Real tartományból, a spanyolországi Kasztília-La Mancha autonóm közösségből. A neve tehát innen ‘Gigante de Brazatortas’.
Erősen növekvő indeterminált fajta, a méreteihez képest viszonylag „kicsi” 300-500 grammos szabályos lapított beefsteak termései vannak, fényes, feszes hússal. Érdekessége, hogy egyáltalán nem zöldtalpasodik.
Az íze krémes, édeskés, befőzésre való fajta.
An old variety originating from the Brazatortas region in Ciudad Real province, within the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Its name, ‘Gigante de Brazatortas’, comes from this origin.
It is a vigorous indeterminate variety, producing relatively “small” beefsteak-type fruits (300–500 grams) for its size, with a regular flattened shape and firm, glossy flesh. An interesting trait is that it does not develop green shoulders at all.
Its flavor is creamy and slightly sweet, making it a variety well-suited for processing.
