A ‘Chocolat Tulip‘ fajta 95%-ban megegyezik a ‘Cuban Like Pepper Black’ már régebb óta nálunk is kapható fajtával. Sajnos itt is azt kell mondjam, hogy nem a magyar nyarakba való fajta, hiába néz ki nagyon jól a Ca hiány a termések ikonikus csúcsait leszárítja még jól hűtött sátorban is. Ennek ellenére nagyon sokat terem, csak hiányosak a termések, ősszel nagyon jól viseli a 10-15 fokos hidegeket és novemberig tud teremni, mint minden ‘Tulip’ fajta. Indeterminált, 2 méternél magasabb fajta, elég sokat terem. A termései 150-200 grammosak, jellegzetes nyílhegy alakúak. Íze édes, fűszeres. Hozzám hasonló hegyes paradicsom megszállottaknak ajánlom, nagyon szép fajta egyébként és az íze is jó.

This variety is about 95% identical to Cuban Like Pepper Black, which has been available from us for some time. Unfortunately, it’s not ideally suited for Hungarian summers — even in a well-cooled greenhouse, calcium deficiency can dry out the iconic blossom ends of the fruits.

Despite this, the plant is very productive, though some fruits may be imperfect. In the fall, it tolerates cooler temperatures of 10–15°C very well and can continue producing until November, like all ‘Tulip” varieties. It is indeterminate, growing over 2 meters tall, and yields abundantly. The fruits weigh 150–200 grams each and have a characteristic spearhead shape. They are sweet and spicy in flavor.

Recommended for fellow enthusiasts of pointed tomatoes, it’s a very attractive variety with excellent taste.
